Hey there! I’m Patrick, a Brazilian at heart and a global citizen in spirit. I’ve spent my life exploring different countries, where I learned that the best part of any journey is immersing yourself in new cultures and perspectives. I’ve found inspiration in unexpected places, made lifelong connections, and discovered my passion for capturing the beauty of life through words and stories. Now, I’m settled in Calgary and ready to keep exploring new ideas and opportunities.

origin story

Driven by my love for writing and storytelling, I began my journey with a BA in Journalism (2011) and an MBA in Marketing and Communications (2015). After two years in the industry, I realized my own story needed a new chapter, so I packed a backpack and moved to Japan (because why not?!?) In Tokyo, I worked as an educator and found myself immersed in a culture that expanded my horizons. The people I met, with their diverse backgrounds and incredible journeys, taught me not just about the world but about myself, how to listen, adapt, and connect in ways I’d never imagined. Every experience became a story worth telling.

Writing has always been part of my identity. Whether I’m writing to spark curiosity or tell a story, I’m drawn to the power of words. I love how writing connects people, shares ideas, and inspires change. My experience in marketing has taught me to apply this skill strategically, collaborating on campaigns, crafting advertising strategies.

My time as an educator in Japan gave me more than just a love for communicating with different audiences. They sharpened my time management, adaptability, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. These experiences have turned me into someone who thrives on tackling challenges creatively and with empathy.

As a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, I know how important it is to uplift underrepresented voices. I am committed to write stories and share ideas that inspire understanding, celebrate diversity, and create a world where everyone feels seen and valued.
