Email Marketing Campaign – ‘Groove Swap Week’ for Retro Spin Records

As part of my marketing efforts for Retro Spin Records, I created an email marketing campaign centered around the “Groove Swap Week” promotion, designed to help customers refresh their vinyl collections while engaging with the local music community. The campaign was designed to build excitement, drive foot traffic, and increase store sales by offering customers the chance to trade in their old records for store credit or discounts. Email Sequence Breakdown

Email 1: Teaser 

Subject Line: “Ready to Refresh Your Collection?” 
Preview Text: “Turn your old records into fresh sounds! Our biggest trade-in event is coming!” 

CTA:  “Learn More” (links to a landing page with trade-in details). 

Purpose: Build anticipation and inform customers about the upcoming promotion. 

Key Elements: 

  • Highlight the benefit: “Get store credit or discounts for your old vinyl!” 
  • Encourage saving the date: “Mark on your calendar!” 

Email 2: Announcement 

Subject Line: “Trade Your Vinyl, Upgrade Your Vibe 🎶 
Preview Text: “Bring your old records in and leave with something new!” 

CTA: “Plan Your Visit Today”

Purpose: Explain the promotion in detail and drive customers to take action. 

Key Elements: 

  • Explain the process: “Step 1: Bring your records. Step 2: Receive store credit or discounts. Step 3: Find new favorites!” 
  • Reinforce urgency: “This offer runs from January 13th to January 19th” 

Email 3: Last Call 

Subject Line: “Last Chance to Swap your Groove!” 
Preview Text: “Don’t miss out! Our promotion ends tomorrow!” 

CTA: “Visit Us Before It’s Over!” 

Purpose: Create a sense of urgency and remind customers to act now. 

Key Elements: 

  • Restate the benefits: “Get up to 50% off your next purchase!” 
  • Final push with Fear of Missing Out [FOMO]: “Rare finds are waiting for you! Don’t let them slip away!”
